Broncos, UCHealth partner for men's health: 3 things to know

The NFL's Denver Broncos and partner Aurora, Colo.-based UCHealth are coming together to raise awareness for men's health issues.

Here are three things to know about the effort.

1. During the month of November, the Broncos and UCHealth will share information and tips here and on social media platforms about the following health topics:

  • Prostate and testicular cancer
  • Heart health
  • Exercise
  • Nutrition
  • Lung cancer screenings
  • The importance of annual checkups with a primary care physician

2. The two entities will also use a special event during the Broncos' Nov. 29 game against the New England Patriots to raise awareness for men's health issues and encourage fans to receive their recommended health screenings. The specifics of the event will be announced the week of the game.

3. In addition, as part of the men's health awareness campaign, the Broncos' organization will support the month-long commitment by men to forgo shaving to evoke conversation and raise awareness about men's health. Broncos fans may participate by growing their own facial hair or by wearing a fake mustache and posting pictures on social media using #Broncostache.
