Pittsburgh-based UPMC and HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, are teaming up to bolster the community college's pharmacy technician training program.
Students who finish HACC's pharmacy technician certificate program and then are hired by UPMC "will receive payments equivalent to the full cost of the program during their first year of employment" alongside their salaries, according to a Dec. 21 news release shared with Becker's.
The reimbursement deal for the 20-week course includes a two-year work commitment at UPMC.
Not including textbooks, the program costs $1,620.
