Lexington, Ky.-based Appalachian Regional Healthcare has promoted Colby Newsome, PharmD, to director of its Behavioral Health Pharmacy.
Dr. Newsome has been with the health system since 2015, according to an Oct. 12 news release.
As part of this new role, Dr. Newsome said he will seek to analyze and decrease the use of certain medications in an effort to promote better patient outcomes.
His appointment takes effect immediately.
