The FDA has updated its list of off-patent drugs that don't have generic competitors.
Since 2017, the FDA has worked to help generic drugmakers better understand which products are no longer protected by patents. The list is updated every six months.
The latest list removes 11 ingredients because generic versions have since entered the market.
The updates include removing vigabatrin, a seizure medicine; toremifene citrate, a treatment for breast cancer; acyclovir cream for the treatment of cold sores and others.
