A pregnant woman who is due later this month claimed she was forgotten and locked inside the All About Women OB/GYN Clinic in Ocala, Fla., NBC affiliate WESH 2 reports.
Patient Kendra Richardson told the television station she scheduled an appointment at the clinic at 3 p.m., but was not called to see her physician until hours after.
Ms. Richardson said the physician gave her a paper gown and told her to wait, but never returned. She said she walked out of the exam room at 6 p.m. and discovered the lights in the clinic had been turned off and the doors locked with no one else inside the facility, the report states.
Ms. Richardson filmed a video of the empty office because she thought "people [were] not going to believe [her]," she told WESH 2.
The report states Ms. Richardson called 911 and was able to exit the clinic with the help of a police officer, who was able to get into the clinic through an adjacent suite.
The clinic did not return WESH 2's requests for comment.
