The pilot of a small plane was killed after he crashed while carrying a patient to Stanford's Lucille Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto, Calif., according to a KRON news report.
The plane, which had two passengers onboard, was operated by Angel Flight West, a nonprofit group that provides free medical transportation.
Vic Lee, the 60-year-old pilot who was a volunteer for Angel Flight, was killed, according to a KRCTV news report.
His passengers, identified as Nancy Dellamaria and her 16-year-old daughter Chloe King, were injured in the crash and transported to the Stanford Trauma Center by ambulance. Their conditions are unknown.
Ms. King was flying to Lucille Packard to have surgery.
