Leesburg Regional Medical Center to move ED entrance amid $27M expansion project

Leesburg (Fla.) Regional Medical Center will close the entrance to its emergency department Thursday and direct ED patients to the hospital's main entrance, Orlando Sentinel reports.

The change comes as part of a $27 million project to expand the ED's entrance and add 24 beds. The expansion is slated to be complete in spring 2018.

LRMC will provide signage, parking and additional security to assist patients and visitors during the transition, according to the report.
