The UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington, Ky., has unveiled the region's first hybrid operating room and eight new traditional ORs, according to a UK Now report.
Recently completed construction also includes a 42-bed preoperative and post-anesthesia care unit, a surgical pathology area and other workspace.
This construction is part of a larger expansion project at UK Chandler Hospital that is expected to be completed in six to 10 years.
