New Jersey's Valley Hospital Brings Mobile CT Scanner to OR

The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, N.J., has brought its portable CT scanner into the operating room for use in neurosurgery, according to a hospital news release.

The hospital was the first in the state to acquire the scanner and is the only hospital in the state to use it intraoperatively. Valley Hospital originally used the mobile scanner at the bedside of critically ill patients in the ICU to minimize risks of transportation to the radiology department.
