Avera Marshall (Minn.) Medical Center is giving tours of its new $4 million surgical unit after more than a year of construction, according to a Marshall Independent report.
The new unit includes four operating rooms, one of which is designated for orthopedic surgery and one that is kept ready for emergency caesarean section surgery. The operating rooms are bigger than the center's previous space, which staff members have said improves the unit's flow and efficiency, according to the report.
