Hybrid operating rooms are a rising and profitable segment within OR integration systems, according to a news release from medical technology research firm Millennium Research Group.
As the fields of neurosurgery, cardiology and orthopedics attempt to improve cost efficiency and medical accuracy, hybrid ORs have become a solution, as they combine standard OR capabilities with up-to-date imaging services.
The news release stated that the OR integration market, a $2.4 billion market, should see 15 percent growth through 2015.
