Yale cancer leader heads to UAMS

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute has named Yong Zhu, PhD, associate director for population science and translational science, the Little Rock-based organization said April 2.

He will also serve as a professor of epidemiology in the UAMS Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health.

Dr. Zhu, a prominent cancer epidemiologist, has spent the last 20 years in various leadership roles at Yale Cancer Center and Yale University School of Public Health in New Haven, Conn. Most recently, he served as the cancer center's assistant director of global cancer epidemiology.
