New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System has tapped Joseph Sparano, MD, as chief of hematology and medical oncology.
Dr. Sparano will also serve as deputy director of the Tisch Cancer Institute and hold the Ezra M. Greenspan, MD, Professorship in Clinical Cancer Therapeutics at Mount Sinai's Icahn School of Medicine.
Dr. Sparano previously spent 33 years in various roles at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, including associate chairman of medical oncology at Montefiore.
