A lung cancer care team at Fox Chase Cancer Center and Temple University Health System, both based in Philadelphia, has received the North American Cancer Care Team Award from the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer.
Though care teams across the globe are recognized by the award, the team at Fox Chase and Temple Health is the only group in North America receiving the award this year, according to a Nov. 19 news release from the cancer center.
Here are the members of the team recognized by the award:
- Hossein Borghaei, DO, chief of the division of thoracic medical oncology at Fox Chase, lead award nominee
- Stephanie Weiss, MD, chief of the division of neurologic oncology and professor in the department of radiation oncology at Fox Chase
- Shelly Hayes, MD, director of Fox Chase Cancer Center Buckingham and associate professor in the department of radiation oncology at Fox Chase
- Scott Shepard, MD, director of neurosurgical oncology at Temple University Hospital and professor of clinical neurosurgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University
- Mary Sileo, radiology support service care team member at Fox Chase
- Kerry Januszka, RN, BSN, radiation oncology at Fox Chase
- Terri McGowan, RN, ambulatory care clinic at Fox Chase
- Halyna Matviyishyn, RN, clinical research nurse at Fox Chase
