ANCC awards systems for nurse development programs

On Oct. 29, the American Nurses Credentialing Center recognized nine health systems and healthcare organizations for outstanding nursing continuing professional development interventions. 

The organizations received the Nursing Continuing Professional Development Premier Award for their programs.

"This year's recipients have demonstrated their organizational culture reflects the values that this award represents: shared decision-making, empowerment, interprofessional collaboration and nurturing a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion," Jennifer Graebe DrPH, RN, senior director of nursing continuing professional development and joint accreditation programs at ANCC, said in a statement. 

The hospital and health system winners are:

  • Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center - Nursing Professional Development Continuing Education (New York City)

  • OSF Healthcare (Peoria, Ill.) 

  • Raffles Hospital Private Unlimited (Singapore)

  • RWJBarnabas Health (West Orange, N.J.)

  • Saudi German Health Center of Excellence for CNE Continuing Nurse Education (Dubai)

  • Stanford Health Care Center for Education and Professional Development (Palo Alto, Calif.)

  • UC Davis Health - Center for Professional Practice of Nursing (Sacramento, Calif.)

Additional awardees include the American Nurses Association and the Association for Nursing Professional Development.
