Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., has broken ground on a $33.5 million expansion and renovation of its emergency department, according to a report by The Daily News.
The project will add 93,000 square feet of newly constructed space and 16 patient treatment areas to the existing ED. It will also result in 6,200 square feet of renovated space.
The ED expansion and renovation project is expected to be completed by summer 2014, according to the report.
