Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital announced plans to begin five construction projects with a total cost of more than $131 million.
The hospital will begin construction on these projects between now and summer 2016.
The five projects are:
1. A 9,600-square-foot emergency care center, scheduled to open in summer 2016.
2. A six-story patient tower, which will include 104 beds.
3. A 60,000-square-foot building for Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.
4. A 20,000-square-foot catheterization lab/heart center that will include four cardiac catheterization suites, including two electrophysiology labs.
5. The renovation of its birthing center.
