White River Medical Center in Batesville, Ark., will open its new $35 million wing to patients Saturday, according to an Area Wide News report.
The 97,000-square-foot addition includes 60 patient rooms, office space and a new kitchen and cafeteria. The new wing will also be the new main entrance to the hospital, according to the report.
The hospital will now begin phase two of the project, which includes renovation of old patient floors and construction of a new registration area and surgery prep and recovery areas, according to the report.
Phase three will be the expansion of the emergency department, according to the report.
