San Jose, Calif.-based Vocera has released a new solution to increase patient safety and reduce clinician alarm fatigue.
Vocera Alarm Management can help clinicians prioritize alarms by providing real-time contextual evidence, such as vital signs. By prioritizing responses to alarms, clinicians can act more efficiently and reduce response times.
Vocera Alarm Management can be integrated with Vocera Alarm Analytics, which collects and reports alarm and response data to help hospitals improve alarm management strategy.
"The Vocera Alarm Management solution is designed to reduce alarm fatigue by offering a closed-loop secondary alarm notification system with audio-visual cues and contextual data to improve clinical workflow across units," said Rhonda Collins, RN, CNO of Vocera, in a news release. "The solution empowers care teams to act more efficiently and make more informed decisions, which in turn positively impacts patient safety and outcomes."
