The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia invalidated a final rule issued by the National Relations Labor Board, according to an AHA News Now report.
The final rule required all employers subject to the National Labor Relations Act to post a notice informing employees of their rights under the act.
The court affirmed that the NLRB had exceeded its statutory authority when it issued the rule, according to the report.
The rule had been scheduled to take effect in April 2012, but was challenged by the National Association of Manufacturers. It will not take effect until the legal issues are resolved.
