Two New York-Presbyterian Hospital Officials Charges With Fraud

Santo Saglimbeni and Emilio Figueroa, both maintenance and facility services officials at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, have been charged with fraud for accepting payments and gifts in exchange for contracts with the hospital, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.

Two contractors, Michael Yaron and Moshe Buchnik, were also indicted. Other employees and contractors are also involved. Some have already pleaded guilty and others have yet to be charged, according to the report.

The indictment indicated that more than $42 million in contracts may have been determined by providing these kickbacks, according to the report.
