Ann Arbor, Mich.-based St. Joseph Mercy Health System announced that it will cut the equivalent of 350 full-time jobs from its locations in Ann Arbor, Howell, Livonia and Saline due to a projected $52 million budget deficit, according to a report in the Chicago Tribune.
Hospital officials said in the report that about one-third of the cuts will come from reductions in overtime and part-time and temporary staff. The rest will come from the four hospitals.
The cuts are expected to save St. Joseph Mercy around $25 million over the coming year.
