Valparaiso, Ind.-based Porter Health System will open its new $210 million Porter Regional Hospital Aug. 25, according to a Post-Tribune report.
The new hospital replaces the Valparaiso Hospital Campus, which will shut down. The new facility encompasses 459,125 square feet — twice the size of the old hospital. The hospital includes 237 private inpatient rooms and 29 private outpatient rooms. In addition, Porter Regional features new imaging equipment and new medical and communication technology, according to the hospital.
