Poll: Public Evenly Split Over Supreme Court Healthcare Law Ruling

Public reaction to the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to uphold the Patient Protection and Affordable Care last week is split down the middle, according to a recent CNN/ORC poll.

Fifty-percent of people polled agree with the Court's ruling that the law is constitutional; 49 percent disagree, and one percent of the public has no opinion on the matter, according to the poll.

Emotional reactions of the American public following the decision also varied widely. Here's a breakdown of personal reaction to the decision ranging from enthusiastic to angry: 15 percent were enthusiastic; 33 percent were pleased; 31 percent were displeased; and 20 percent were angry over the ruling.
