The Parker County (Texas) Hospital District's board of directors has approved reducing the tax rate it levies upon property owners in the county, according to a Weatherford Democrat report.
The tenth-of-a-cent reduction reduces the effective tax rate to 11.1967 cents per $100 in property value. The new rate is expected to produce $10.1 million in revenue for the district.
PCHD leased its hospital to Community Health Systems in 2006 but still operates Campbell Clinic in Weatherford, Texas, an indigent medical assistance program and emergency medical services, according to the report.
