A pending $40 million addition to Dayton, Ohio's Grandview Medical Center is just one of several projects signaling renewed investment in the area's urban hospital campuses, according to a report in the Dayton Daily News.
Dayton's safety-net hospitals have committed to at least $215 million in building projects over the past couple of years, according to the report.
The Grandview construction includes a five-story addition and new entrance. Among other area projects, Miami Valley Hospital is also adding 12 stories, for an estimated $135 million, and Good Samaritan Hospital recently opened the $31 million Dayton Heart & Vascular Hospital, according to the report.
