North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, La., last week unveiled its latest addition, a five-story wing with 95 private rooms, according to the health system.
This $95 million, 232,000-square foot building will also feature 14 operating suites, 11 more same day surgery beds and 25 additional telemetry beds, according to a Daily Star article. A customized orthopedic and neurosurgery floor is also equipped with a gym for patient rehabilitation.
"These enhancements are making way for the growing number of North Oaks surgeons providing care in the region and the advanced, complex procedures they perform," said James E. Cathey Jr., president and CEO of North Oaks, in the report.
