Memorial Health in Savannah, Ga., is planning capital improvements totaling almost $40 million, according to a Pharmacy Choice report.
The Chatham County Commission agreed to guarantee $183 million in bonds for Memorial Health, the parent organization of Memorial University Medical Center, to refinance hospital debt and use the freed funds for improvements.
These improvements will include $15 million to renovate and expand the emergency department, $9 million to expand the Heart and Vascular Institute, $11.5 million to expand surgical services by adding one inpatient and four outpatient operating rooms and $2.6 million to expand the neonatal unit's inpatient and outpatient operating rooms, according to the report.
