Heartland Spine & Specialty Hospital, a physician-owned hospital comprised of over 80 physicians located in Overland Park, Kan., has named Jesse Saucedo as its new CFO, according to a news release from the hospital.
Mr. Saucedo has 18 years of experience in hospital and healthcare finances, according to the release. Prior to joining Heartland, he was a rural health specialist with KSF & Associates in Alpine, Texas, and was CFO of Catholic Health Initiatives in Great Bend, Kan. He was a senior financial analyst at CHRISTUS Health St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas, and CFO at CHRISTUS Health Jasper (Texas) Memorial Hospital.
In his new role at Heartland, Mr. Saucedo will be responsible for strategic financial leadership, fiscal reporting and accounting practices and the application of systems and operations associated with physician interaction and ownership, according to the release. He will be in charge of performance benchmarking and will serve as Heartland's treasurer.
Mr. Saucedo holds an MBA from Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. He has a medical records coding certificate from the Texas Medical Foundation and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, according to the release.
