The HHS Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology unveiled a new mark for certified electronic health record technology yesterday.
The mark will indicate that an EHR product meets the 2014 Edition Standards Certification Criteria and can achieve interoperability, functionality and security.
A mark on a complete EHR system means that the system can be used to meet the meaningful use requirement necessary to qualify for Medicare and Medicaid EHR incentive payments.
