Leslie Margolin, CEO, of California Anthem Blue Cross has resigned after defending controversial rake hikes of as much as 39 percent for individual policy holders, according to a report by the Sacramento Bee.
Anthem rescinded the hikes after California's Department of Insurance identified errors in the insurer's calculations supporting the hikes.
Ms. Margolin will leave the insurer to join a group called Transforming Health Care, a coalition of healthcare providers, employers and consumer advocates aimed at transforming the state's healthcare system.
Anthem confirmed Ms. Margolin's last day was Monday, according to the report.
