Battle Creek Health Systems Names New CEO

Battle Creek (Mich.) Health Systems announced that Denise Brooks-Williams will become its new president and CEO, succeeding Patrick Garrett, on Apr. 20, according to a report in the Kalamazoo Gazette.

Ms. Brooks-Williams has been a senior executive in healthcare for over 20 years, according to the report. Most recently, she was vice president of operations responsible for ancillary and diagnostic services and oncology program development at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland in Pontiac, Mich.

Mr. Garrett will be taking on a new role with BCHS' parent organization Trinity Health, where he will "spearhead corporate performance improvement and provide executive consulting for the corporate office," according to the report.
