Philadelphia-based Aria Health is planning a $37 million emergency department expansion project at its Torresdale campus in Philadelphia, according to a Philadelphia Business Journal report.
Aria Health received $3 million from the Pennsylvania Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program to help fund the project, which is expected to be completed by March 2014.
The project will add 12 beds to the ED, bringing the total number of beds to 42. In addition to growing capacity, the expansion aims to streamline patient evaluation and treatment in the ED.
