Healthcare Informatics named ArborMetrix a 2013 Up-and-Comer.
The award recognizes healthcare information technology companies that are fast-growing today. ArborMetrix was co-founded by John Birkmeyer, MD, in 2011 to offer a next-generation patient registry that includes the ability to adjust for case acuity. Brett Furst serves as CEO of the company.
The company is currently running seven quality initiatives in Michigan that involve statewide registries for specialty care and raised a second round of funding last year. Total investment raised to date is $9.8 million, and the company currently has 36 employees. It expects to top 50 by the end of the year, according to the report.
