Forbes recently released its list of Most Innovative Growth Companies for 2014, which are the best-performing companies under $10 billion in market capitalization.
Of the 100 companies on Forbes' list, seven of them are in the healthcare equipment and services industry. They are as follows, listed by rank:
• Insulet (develops, manufactures and markets an insulin infusion system) — #4
• DexCom (manufactures medical devices) — #5
• athenahealth (provides cloud-based business services, practice management and electronic health record services) — #7
• M3 (provides medical-related information for patients and physicians through the Internet) — #9
• Shandong Weigao Group Medical Polymer (researches, develops, produces and sells single-use medical devices) — #23
• GN Store Nord (active in the telecommunications industry, develops and manufactures advanced hearing instruments and audiologic diagnostic equipment) — #48
• Mednax (provides physician services) — #67
