A new Wisconsin bill would prohibit the state's employers, including healthcare providers, from dismissing, demoting, refusing to hire or otherwise discriminating against employees who decline a seasonal flu vaccine.
The bill would compel all employers to inform employees they may chose not to be vaccinated and provide employees with information about both the risks and benefits of the vaccine.
The state health department, the Wisconsin Medical Society and more than 20 healthcare providers have come out against the bill.
