Tenet withdraws suit seeking to prevent OSHA inspection

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare has withdrawn its lawsuit against the Labor Department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

The health system filed the lawsuit April 26 aiming to prevent OSHA from inspecting Hospitals of Providence in El Paso, Texas. OSHA was set to inspect the facility to determine whether workers were compliant with CMS' COVID-19 vaccination mandate.

In a filing May 5, Tenet said it was voluntarily withdrawing the lawsuit because it reached "an amicable resolution" with OSHA.

U.S. District Judge Kathleen Cardone of the District of Western Texas granted Tenet's withdrawal request May 6, according to Bloomberg Law.
