In the wake of the Supreme Court's three-day hearing on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act last week, President Obama insists his side of the healthcare battle will win.
"I'm confident this will be upheld because it should be upheld," President Obama said in the White House Rose Garden Monday. "And, again, that's not just my opinion; that's the opinion of a whole lot of constitutional law professors and academics and judges and lawyers who have examined this law."
President Obama had a scheduled press conference with the presidents of Mexico and Canada, but the healthcare debate dipped into the conversation, with reporters at the meeting asking questions about it.
White House officials say they have not yet considered a next move in the event the Supreme Court strikes down part or all of the Affordable Care Act. The court is expected to rule on the constitutionality of the landmark healthcare act in June.
