The FBI is questioning the former owner of a Chicago medical facility after patient files were left behind the building, according to CBS Chicago, which originally reported on the records June 19.
Medical Professionals Healthcare Center closed last year. However, patient records were allegedly not properly disposed.
Federal investigators are also interested in speaking with the building's new owner. The current owner says the patient files were left in the back alley from almost a year.
Chicago city officials have removed the patient files, saying they are being securely stored.
