Nashville (Tenn.) General Hospital at Meharry is facing a lawsuit over allegedly failing to compensate employees for working through breaks and after shifts ended, according to a report in The Tennessean.
The plaintiffs, both nurses, claim staffing shortages compelled them to work through lunch breaks and stay late to finish paperwork, time for which they were not paid, according to the report.
The suit was filed under the Fair Labor Standards Act, according to the report.
