Amos Cancer Center Admin Alleges Center Overbilled Government

Richard Barker, the administrative director of the John B. Amos Cancer Center in Columbus, Ga., has filed a whistle-blower lawsuit accusing the center of overbilling government insurers, according to a Ledger-Enquirer report.

The claim was filed under the Federal False Claims Act in May 2012, and the Columbus, Ga.-based defendants, including the Columbus Regional Healthcare System, The Medical Center, Regional Oncology and the cancer center, were notified last month when the complaint was unsealed, according to the report.
