T.J. Samson Community Hospital, a 196-bed hospital in Glasgow, Ky., plans to cut between 39 and 49 jobs, according to a Bowling Green Daily News report.
In addition to the layoffs, management and salaried physicians will see their pay cut by 10 percent, and hourly workers who make more than $10 an hour will also see pay cuts after Sept. 24, according to the report.
T.J. Samson's interim CEO Henry Royse pointed to the expensive rollout of a financial software program, as well as impacts from the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, as why the staff cuts were necessary.
