Dublin, Ohio-based lab product manufacturer Cardinal Health is opening its automated supply management business to clinical labs, the company said in a Nov. 18 news release.
WaveMark Supply Management and Workflow Solutions is a platform that alerts lab staff when to order a given product and where the product can be found. It also alerts personnel about recalled, expired and at-risk products and supplies, according to the release.
"Timing matters in the lab," said WaveMark Vice President and General Manager Shawn McBride. "The faster test results are delivered from the lab, the faster a diagnosis can be made and treatment can begin. WaveMark's new clinical lab solution ensures the most experienced, skilled lab managers aren't unnecessarily spending time checking on inventory."
