As artificial intelligence tools become more commonplace in the medical field, a survey of American patients from Tebra found 80 percent believe that AI has the potential to improve healthcare quality.
The survey also found that just 16 percent of Americans were extremely or very comfortable with their clinicians using AI to diagnose them. Since its launch, 5 percent of Americans have already turned to ChatGPT for medical advice, according to an April 27 Tebra news release.
The survey was based on 1,000 responses.
