San Diego-based Defense Health Agency welcomes a new infection prevention nurse consultant, Kyle Mataya.
Mr. Mataya, who is 29 years old, has experience in long term and acute care and will bring a fresh and dynamic perspective to the role.
In addition to his new position, Mr. Mataya is a member of the National Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology Education Committee, serving a three-year term. In this role, he contributes to shaping the educational content provided to committee members through rigorous evaluation and feedback.
Mr. Mataya is also pursuing a masters degree in public health, with a capstone project affiliated with Lorian Home Health. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California Santa Cruz.
