In a survey conducted just before Congress voted to delay the ICD-10 transition, more than half of the 1,300 respondents to a NueMD survey said the transition should either be delayed or it shouldn't happen at all.
Additionally, 58 percent of respondents told the medical software vendor they were "highly concerned" about the possible effects of the transition, with claims processing being the area of most worry.
The responses almost mirrored those from a similar NueMD survey conducted in 2012, in which 56 percent of professionals said they wanted either an ICD-10 delay or wanted to skip the transition entirely.
