UMass Memorial-Marlborough nurses ratify labor deal

Nurses at UMass Memorial-Marlborough Hospital have signed off on a new contract agreement with hospital management, the Telegram & Gazette reports.

The two-year agreement covers 219 nurses represented by the Massachusetts Nurses Association. It "extends all the terms of the current contract; wages were brought in line with those at some other UMass campuses," the union told Becker's Hospital Review.

Steve Roach, president and CEO of  UMass Memorial – Marlborough, told the Telegram & Gazette bargaining went smoothly because both sides worked together "while still keeping a strong focus on our patients and working to make [the] hospital the best choice for healthcare in our region."
