San Leandro Hospital nurses OK labor deal

Registered nurses at San Leandro (Calif.) Hospital have ratified a new contract with the hospital, according to the California Nurses Association.

The new contract covers 200 RNs at San Leandro, which is part of Oakland, Calif.-based Alameda Health System. It includes a 16 percent across-the-board wage increase over the next two years, improved educational opportunities and safe staffing protections, union officials said.

The new contract runs through Dec. 31, 2018.
