Report: Healthcare Employees More Hostile Than Other Industries

The healthcare industry has a greater number of hostile workers compared with other industries, according to a report released by Quantum Workplace.

"Hostile" employees are workers who are negative, lack commitment and impact the productivity of others, according to Quantum.

In 2012, just 2.9 percent of employees across all industries were identified as hostile. However, in healthcare, 4.4 percent of employees were hostile — a greater percentage of employees than any other industry.

Data in the report is based on information gathered from engagement surveys given to employees at more than 5,000 organizations.
