Nurses at Chino (Calif.) Valley Medical Center plan to walk off the job amid contract negotiations, according to The Press-Enterprise.
The nurses, represented by United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals, said they will strike for three days beginning Oct. 29 and return to work Nov. 1. They contend hospital management has not negotiated in good faith, The Press-Enterprise reported.
Tim Moran, the hospital's CEO, told Becker's Hospital Review Chino Valley Medical Center has negotiated a labor deal in recent months and expects to have an agreement in place soon. He said the hospital looks forward to staff returning to work later this week.
Chino Valley Medical Center is a 112-bed facility owned and operated by Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare.
